A regular participant at ITEXPO, D2 Technologies (News - Alert) is back in Miami this week for ITEXPO East and ready to discuss the latest advancements in the mobile technology space.
D2 is a recognized leader in VoIP and converged IP communications software for devices used in 4G and next-generation networks that deliver advanced communication services, such as VoIP over LTE (VoLTE) and IMS-based Rich Communications (RCS) video call. The company’s COO, Doug Makishima (News - Alert) has managed to generate quite the following at ITEXPOs in the past by participating in countless speaking engagements and panel discussions at the show.
This week at the Miami Beach Convention Center will be no different, as D2’s COO will be present at a number of discussions throughout the week. Makishima will first participate in a panel presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m., entitled "When Does 4G Take Over Voice: VoLTE Rollout," a breakout session at the 4G Wireless Evolution Conference, held in conjunction with ITEXPO East 2012.
Panel participants Steve Collins, vice president of marketing for Acme Packet, Majid Foodeei, PhD, vice president of telecom marketing for Transwitch Corporation, Anatoli Levine (News - Alert), senior director of product management for RADVISION and Manuel Vexler, chief marketing officer IMS/NGN for Huawei Technologies, will join Makishima in discussing the roadmap for carrier migration of voice to LTE VoLTE and how SMS text messaging will change.
Also on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 4:45 p.m., Makishima will again join Collins, Levine and Vexler for a second panel presentation, "The Case for Rich Communication Services: Maximizing Real Time Communications Revenue." The panel will discuss how RCS is enabling carriers to add revenue through services such as video, contextual media sharing and presence.
Makishima will also participate in a third panel, "Make Your Smart Device Smarter on the Road," on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 3:00 p.m. With the help of the other panelists, Matt Clark, principal of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, Kayvan Alikhani, CEO of Litescape Technologies and Karil Reibold (News - Alert), CEO of Whaleback Managed Services, Makishima will address the advances in mobile technologies that are enabling employees to be just as effective remotely as they are in the office.
