Sony Mobile Communications has announced a new range of Xperia smartphones, along with the first Xperia Tablet from Sony Corp.
Kunimasa Suzuki, president and CEO at Sony Mobile Communications, said that Xperia smartphones are at the heart of Sony’s mobile strategy of delivering a consistent user experience across devices, enabling consumers to easily and quickly access the world of entertainment that Sony delivers.
Touted as the first new global flagship model, the Xperia T features Sony’s HD smartphone screen, camera and easy ‘one-touch’ functions, enabled by NFC. In addition to having the same features as Xperia T, the other model Xperia V is also LTE (News - Alert) enabled for “superfast network performance” and comes with water resistance in smartphone, said company officials.
For consumers seeking to combine style with affordability, Xperia J has an eye-catching design with a stand-out screen size, while Xperia Tablet S brings Xperia to the world of tablet for the first time.
Company officials said Xperia T and Xperia V combine Sony’s best screen, camera and connectivity, providing consumers with the best HD experience. And, Xperia T, Xperia V and Xperia J are built on the same design language first introduced by the Xperia arc and Xperia arc S, combining a slim form factor with an emphasis on the display for excellent viewing.
Moreover, Sony’s media applications are an integral part of the UI on Xperia smartphones, tablets and VAIO PCs to deliver a consistent and superior entertainment experience.
Xperia T is expected to be launched globally over the next few weeks, while the company plans to introduce Xperia V and Xperia J in calendar Q4 2012.
Recently, Sony Mobile Communications announced that it revamped its entire operational structure across the globe.
