iTeknik Holding has signed an agreement with Texas-based telecom provider Quamtel, to sell DataJack, a fast-growing, prepaid mobile Wi-Fi service, available on the nationwide Sprint (News - Alert) 3G wireless network.

Stuart Ehrlich, CEO at Quamtel said that DataJack is an ideal product for the more than 3000 independent retailers that are in its network.

In addition to no roaming fees, DataJack features MiFi Hotspots, mobile broadband routers and four data plans. To iTeknik’s subsidiary, Send Global, it’s expected to provide a competitive advantage as there are no contracts or credit checks needed to purchase DataJack. Company officials said that most Send Global competitors don't offer MiFi Hotspots and monthly wireless service for retail outlets to sell.

Fredrick W. Wicks, chairman and CEO at iTeknik Holding, said DataJack is a key piece in the company’s strategy to provide more hardware and related services to the independent retail store network.

“Now that we have updated our EZposa software system, we can quickly add DataJack and other strong products to our retail portal,” said Wicks, adding that this gives the company a great opportunity to increase its revenues through hardware and monthly service fees.

iTeknik Holding was formed to develop and launch new technology and products in the global communications market. Recently, the company signed an agreement to sell Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM) provided by ISO 1, a subsidiary of United Leasing Group, based in Boca Raton, Florida.
