AppSense's Two New Mobile Offerings Liberates Users from Specificity

Technology has evolved so fast, giving rise to multiple computing platforms, multiple operating systems, a horde of smart devices and an explosion of apps across organizations. It's bewildering to say the very least, and organizations are without doubt being challenged by having to manage so much.

In such a scenario, can organizations really liberate employees and allow them to choose how they want to work? Can technology become a transparent enabler of productivity without compromising on compliance and security? Well, the people-centric computing company, AppSense doesn't seem to think it's impossible.

Announcing the development of two new mobile solutions, AppSense MobileNow and AppSense DataNow, the computing company is confident of unshackling users from the confines of specificity.

AppSense MobileNow, which is being introduced through a limited Customer Select Program, claims to be the answer to the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) problem for IT and employees. It doesn’t limit users to a small number of proprietary apps, data and devices nor does it fail to deliver real-time security, control and compliance.

“The introduction of new, disruptive technologies, like MobileNow, is being driven by consumers who want to extend their everyday mobile experience into the workplace,” said Ravi Khatod, vice president and general manager of Mobile for AppSense.

The MobileNow Customer Select Program is open to IT organizations who leverage cloud services, are running mobile applications, and whose employees primarily operate on the iOS mobile platform.

AppSense DataNow enables anywhere productivity using existing on-premises storage hardware, and adopts a storage-agnostic approach. Users can access data from anywhere on any device, but IT maintains complete control over where critical data is stored and how it is accessed.

AppSense has unveiled an enhanced version of its application management offering called StrataApps. Users can now administer personal productivity applications across several desktops and devices with StrataApps.
