PortableApps.com has unveiled PortableApps.com Platform Version 11.2, which offers a full-featured portable software menu, backup utility, app store, automatic updater and application management system that connects all the portable apps together and helps users to build their own custom portable app suite.
This new version can be a selling point to users, providing them with automated app updates, customizable folders (categories) in the menu, a full theming engine with multiple chrome styles, the Portable App Directory app store for automatic download and installation of portable apps, find-as-you-type search (just type / or F3) to easily find apps in their ever-growing collection, an improved updater, and more-complete translations into more languages.
In addition, PortableApps.com helps users carry their favorite apps on a portable device or cloud drive and use them on any PC. This facility grants them a browser with all their bookmarks and extensions, photo editors, entire music collections, favorite games, etc.
Along with these features, the PortableApps.com Platform has provided an app store built right in that helps users to install the apps they’re interested in with just a few clicks. In addition, users need not worry about the updates; PortableApps.com will make sure that all the software’s are up to date.
Officials at PortableApps.com said they are already working on the next PortableApps.com Platform release i.e. 12.0 Beta 1, nearly ready for public testing. The latest addition will have built-in file associations (no more need for an add-on), customizable themes, faster access to one’s most-used apps, improved Windows 7/8 integration, and a great deal more.
The new 11.2 version is currently available in English. Translations in other languages will soon be released as well.
