Infinite Convergence (News - Alert) is a provider of innovative and cutting-edge products supporting the needs of next-generation wireless communication. It recently launched its Rich Communications Suite product, enabling mobile network operators to offer telco-grade enhanced messaging services to mobile subscribers.
Today, the company has released another innovative solution, its Enterprise Messaging Service (EMS), which allows businesses and institutions to engage customers with two-way mobile communications, including alerts, updates and customer-specific information. The service, available starting today, enables improved customer experiences, enhanced brand loyalty and increased revenue streams.
TMC (News - Alert) got the chance to speak with Anurag Lal, CEO of Infinite Convergence, about the new release. The service is a cloud-based offer that delivers application-to-person messaging predominantly targeted toward the enterprise.
“In today’s day and age, there’s a big push for enterprises to leverage mobility as a means to communicate,” said Lal. “Our service, which is a secure cloud-based offer, is positioned to allow enterprises to leverage the power of mobility and enable their in-house applications to be able to deliver messaging as a means to communicate with their end-users, customers and prospects.”
With more than 75 percent of global users using SMS and MMS as a way of communication, enterprises can use the existing mobile infrastructure to deliver pertinent timely messages to its customers and business partners resulting in greater customer service, increased revenue stream and improved customer loyalty.

The global increase in messaging traffic was one of the top reasons Infinite decided to create this service. The convenience of being able to use text or multimedia messaging places a lot of opportunity for enterprises to communicate through those mediums.
“When we looked at the ecosystem, we quickly realized there was a huge opportunity based on the growth of enterprise messaging for a service provider to come in and be able to deliver a secure capability to the enterprise, which was actually struggling to do the same thing,” explained Lal. “Our strong heritage, our track record of delivering a high-quality service and our ability to manage highly scalable traffic volumes was a very logical way for us to move into a service environment to really fill in a need that was not being catered to for the enterprise.”
The EMS is designed for businesses and institutions to send alerts, updates or marketing campaigns to wireless devices. Features and capabilities include outbound SMS, interactive two-way SMS, campaign management, opt-in/opt-out and do not disturb, delivery assurance, detail message deliver reporting and accounting, analytics and reporting and Web-based service management portal.
“Today, security is a huge concern on the minds of the enterprise. With devices propagating the enterprise and with Wi-Fi technology being available, people can connect into the enterprise,” explained Lal. “So the enterprise is spending a lot of time and effort in ensuring that whatever they deploy is secure; whatever communication that goes out originates from them and whatever information is received by the end-user, they are assured it’s coming from that enterprise.”
The enterprise messaging services are offered as a highly reliable, scalable and secure cloud-hosted solution ensuring the highest availability while complying with many security standards including ISO 27001 and PCI (News - Alert) DSS.
“A huge part of our proposition is security,” said Lal. “We enable secure messaging that allows us to assure the enterprise the traffic is secure, plus it’s going to the end-user as defined by the end-user’s phone number through our secure messaging capability and third, we can encrypt the information so it’s only decrypted when the end-user demands that information to provide an additional enhanced security mechanism.”
Rich Communications provides a very strong integrated experience to the end-user, enabling mobile network operators to deliver new, media-rich instant messaging services, including one-to-one chat, group chat, inter-carrier chat, text messaging, multimedia messaging, file transfer and video sharing. RCS is not yet integrated into EMS but it’s definitely a part of the plan for Infinite.
“We provide a level of reliability through our cloud-based capability, a fully integrated end-to-end service that includes transport and features, and we can enable all of these applications in a manner that is secure that assures not only the enterprise but also the end-users, and they feel comfortable using this technology,” said Lal.
EMS can be used for a number of industries, including finance, healthcare and travel, transportation and hospitality. From interactive messaging to alerts and notifications, EMS benefits the enterprise in communicating in today’s digital world.
“This is really a game-changing service. Today, there are a lot of providers out there who are providing, what I see as, a very archaic, transport-based-only capability. I think Infinite Convergence is really changing the game by enhancing the ability of the service that’s deployed within the cloud to provide a reliable, assurable, fully integrated, feature-rich and secure mechanism for the enterprise to be able to communicate to their end-users, prospects and customers.”
With customization and systems integration services, Infinite Convergence’s experienced end-to-end service team can help enterprises expedite the introduction of value-added mobile messaging.
“More importantly, it allows the enterprise to focus on what that enterprise does well, so they don’t have to focus on how to integrate this and how to make sure they can make this part of their capability. We do all of that. So it’s a one-stop shop, end-to-end solution that really builds on our strong heritage of enabling close to 140 million subscribers and carrying over 900 billion messages on a global basis.”
